Director of External Relations

As the Director of External Relations for the WHIT Program, Matthew Miiller is dedicated to creating meaningful connections and helping individuals access the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. His passion for serving others and building strong communities is rooted in a lifetime of leadership, mentorship, and service.

Matthew retired from the United States Air Force in 2025 after more than 20 years of honorable service. During his military career, he served as a firefighter, Military Training Instructor, and First Sergeant, where he had the privilege of mentoring Airmen from diverse backgrounds and helping them navigate both personal and professional challenges. These experiences strengthened his belief that every person deserves encouragement, support, and someone who believes in their potential.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management in 2016 and a Master’s degree in Emergency Management in 2018. Throughout his military career, Matthew also volunteered with organizations such as Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity, continuing his commitment to serving others beyond the workplace.

Originally from Glendale, Arizona, Matthew made San Angelo home after retiring from the Air Force. He is a proud father of four daughters and looks forward to marrying his fiancée in October 2026.

When he’s not working, Matthew enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and golfing. Whether in his professional or personal life, he is passionate about investing in people, fostering meaningful relationships, and making a positive impact in the community he proudly serves.
